Guidance When It Matters Most

As part of our mission to help all students, regardless of background or ability to pay, HPSA offers advice on call as a “pay what you can” service. Emil Chuck, PhD, Director of Advising Services, has 20 years of experience in advising and admissions across health professions. He can help you clarify your purpose, determine schools to target, and practice interviewing.

Have questions about the admissions process or your specific application? Get your questions answered by our vetted experts to help you through college and into health professional school. Our vetted experts include admissions committee members, pre-health advisors, and current practitioners and residents.

Anonymous versions of the questions are then published based on the discretion of the Confidential Expert Advice team.

Starting in April 2025, HPSA will offer bi-weekly live advising sessions led by Emil Chuck, PhD, Director of Advising Services. These sessions will provide a short overview of a key admissions topic followed by an open question and answer session. Students can join these sessions on the SDN Youtube, LinkedIn, or Facebook sites.
